Coaching by Anne-Sophie
The line between therapy and coaching can sometimes be thin, and the advantage of having a therapist who is skilled in both areas is the ability to offer you one or the other—or both—depending on the challenges you face and how they evolve. Furthermore, whether the issues are professional or personal, it is the same individual experiencing them, along with their resources, emotions, and life experiences. Therefore, it's important to take this into account.
Coaching is suitable for:
- Navigating academic paths and career advancements
- Career transitions or life changes without complex psychological issues
- Untangling difficult professional situations: relational conflicts, layoffs, voluntary or involuntary job changes, workplace harassment
- Successfully managing recruitment processes and settling into a new role
Coaching, like therapy, is a gift to yourself and your self-esteem—whether it’s chosen, prescribed, or even required, and whether it’s done individually or in a group setting. Strategic and systemic coaching, inspired by the Palo Alto model, focuses on the individual’s relationship with themselves and their environment. Instead of dwelling on causes or "why," it emphasizes creating change by addressing the impact of the problem within its context. This approach equips you with practical, adaptable tools that open the door to fresh perspectives. Ultimately, coaching brings greater ease to your daily life, with a particular focus on improving your professional well-being.
It takes into account the work context, as well as the emotional, cognitive, and behavioral components of professional issues, with a particular focus on the relational dimension inherent in the systemic approach.
It allows for a respectful consideration of the client's personal ecology and relationships, and can quickly bring about profound and lasting changes.
Coaching modalities are tailored to your specific situation: face-to-face meetings, phone or video consultations, individual sessions, triadic meetings, and email follow-ups.
Sessions typically last 1.5 hours. The number of sessions and their frequency are determined based on your needs and the goals you wish to achieve, usually starting with an average of two sessions in the first few months, followed by gradually spaced-out sessions.
In support of coaching, HR consulting includes:
- Professional mobility (particularly international opportunities)
- Interview preparation
- Support for onboarding in a new role
- Contract termination (whether voluntary or involuntary)
